Shipping

We ship our fresh pork and beef products using insulated packaging with dry ice to ensure product quality. To guarantee orders arrive the same week they are shipped, we only ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Orders received after midnight on Tuesday will be shipped the following week. Please handle dry ice safely.

Cooking Instructions

Remove your steak from the refrigerator 20-30 minutes before grilling to reach room temperature for even cooking. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and other desired seasonings or marinades.

Preheat your grill to high heat (450°F to 500°F). Sear each side for 2-3 minutes to create a nice crust, then adjust the cooking time based on thickness and desired doneness. Flip the meat only once during grilling for even cooking and a good sear. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Let the meat rest for 5-10 minutes after grilling to retain juices, then slice against the grain for the best texture. Serve immediately for maximum flavor.

Storage

Promptly refrigerate or freeze upon receiving.

Refrigerate: Store steaks in their original packaging below 40°F (4°C). Use or freeze within 3-5 days.

Freeze: Label packages with the date of freezing. Keep the freezer at 0°F (-18°C) or below. For the best results, limit freezing steaks to 6-12 months. Thaw beef fully in the refrigerator before cooking.

  • Are your steaks aged? If so, how long?

    Our steaks are aged for a minimum of 28 days which gives it time to develop a rich taste, enhance tenderness, and increase juiciness for that melt-in-your-mouth quality.

  • Is your beef grass or grain-fed?

    Our beef is Midwest-raised on an all-vegetarian grain diet, including corn. A uniform diet of grain and corn gives our beef a consistent quality and taste. Corn increases the amount of marbling in our steaks, which creates the flavor, tenderness, and juiciness many customers have come to love from Amana steaks.

  • Is your beef USDA graded?

    Yes, our beef is graded USDA Upper Choice and is USDA-inspected. This means that the processing of our beef is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged.

Love all your meats... BUT

I am originally from Iowa, and have eaten many times at the Amana Colonies, so when I was looking for a better cut of meat than I can find in this DC suburb in Northern Virginia, I searched the web to see if Amana Colonies sold online. Was pleased to see that you do, and ordered several times. I only have ONE complaint/recommendation. It would help me plan meals better if I you could/would put some of your bundles in multiples of 3 instead of 2. My mother in-law lives with us, and it is hard to make a meal for 3 when most of your bundled packages come in twos! This has led me to not order on occassion and instead accept an inferior cut of meat at the grocery store. Thanks for listening!

Expectations
